1、水墨原形水墨有原形嗎?如果水墨僅僅是指一種媒介,那么它不過是為造型服務(wù)的材料,當(dāng)和油畫丙烯材料等同。但是古人墨分五色的說法,顯然是對(duì)黑色的超越,企盼水墨是精神化了的物。如果說水墨是一種有兩千多年歷史的特殊畫種,那么它必定應(yīng)該保持著它從一開始就被界定的氣韻生動(dòng)的品質(zhì)。如果說水墨是個(gè)人情感心緒的直接抒發(fā),那么寫胸中逸氣的道德境界是基本要求。水墨和大象無形同根。但是,水墨的象不是象征。象征是內(nèi)容和形式相加,或者能指和所指合并所生發(fā)的他者的意義。在象征之中,象不是自己。而水墨的象是水墨自己。中國文論雖有賦比興,有人或以為其中的比就是象征。差矣!比乃物物相喻,此物和被比之彼物之間是平等的。而象征中,形象

2、和象征對(duì)象之間有高低之分。賦比興就像繪畫中的理識(shí)性是互轉(zhuǎn)、契合關(guān)系,不是西方抽象、觀念和寫實(shí)的絕對(duì)分離。而象征就是這個(gè)分離關(guān)系、或者主、客之間再現(xiàn)關(guān)系的一個(gè)重要方式。于是,水墨是否需要觀念?水墨創(chuàng)造需要什么樣的觀念?答案是,如果引進(jìn)觀念,肯定是不能脫離水墨特質(zhì)的觀念。如果說水墨是一種文化。那么水、墨、筆、宣紙、刻章、桌案、書房乃至畫家的作畫情狀共同構(gòu)成了一種儀式。當(dāng)儀式找到了一個(gè)畫家自己的、同時(shí)具備他人共享張力的樣式依托時(shí),水墨就找到了自己的原形?;蛘邷?zhǔn)確地說是原型(Prototypes,西方理論稱為范式。中國當(dāng)代水墨呼喚這個(gè)時(shí)代的范式,期待這個(gè)時(shí)代里真正個(gè)性的、創(chuàng)造性的水墨原形。時(shí)不待我,志

4、ese Water Ink PaintingDoes Chinese water ink painting have original forms?If water ink only refers to a medium, it is nothing but a material serving modeling, just like propylene or oil painting materials. However, the old saying of "Ink is divided into five colors" is obviously beyond bla

5、ck color, expecting water ink as a “spiritualized object”.If Chinese water ink painting is a special type of painting with a history of more than two thousand years, then it should definitely maintain its quality of 'rhythmic vitality' as defined from the very beginning.If Chinese water ink

6、painting is a direct expression of personal emotions and moods of painters, then the moral realm of "Expressing the noble spirits in painters hearts" will be the fundamental requirement.Chinese water ink painting and 'profound image' share the same origin. However, 'image'

7、in Chinese water ink painting is not a 'symbol' since the latter is the sum of contents and forms, or other meanings generated from the combination of the signifier and the signified. In 'symbolism', image is not itself. But in Chinese water ink painting, image means Chinese water in

8、k painting itself. Although there are "Fu, Bi and Xing (three expression methods in ancient Chinese poems" in Chinese literary theory, it is wrong for someone to regard "Bi" as a symbol because "Bi" is a 'metaphor of objects', and this object and that compared o

9、bject are equal. Nevertheless, in 'symbolism', image and the symbolized objec t are unequal. "Fu, Bi and Xing” are of an interrelated and harmonious relation just like the 'theory, knowledge and nature' in painting, and are not absolutely separated from one another like the abst

10、ract, idea and realism in the Western painting. Symbolism is an important method of separation relation, or reproduction relation between subjects and objects.Therefore, does Chinese water ink painting need an idea? And what kind of idea does the creation of Chinese water ink painting need? The answ

11、er is that introduction of ideas definitely cannot separate themselves from the distinctive ideas of Chinese water ink painting.If Chinese water ink painting is a kind of culture, then water, ink, brushes, Chinese paper, stamps, tables, study rooms and painting state of painters will concertedly con

12、stitute a ritual.When the ritual finds a style reliance distinctive to a painter him/herself and sharable with others, Chinese water ink painting finds its own 'original forms', or more exactly 'prototypes', which are called paradigms in the Western theory. Chinese temporary ink pain

13、ting calls for paradigms in this era, expecting truly individualized and creative original forms.
