4、ally 40 miles of bumpy road take six days, the corpse is stinking. Finally they arrive at their destination, the family suddenly scattered. As a result, the eldest son is pressured by vehicle that loses the legs and becomes maimed for his rest life. Illegitimate child loses his treasure horse. Becau

5、se of setting fire to coffin, Darl is sent to a lunatic asylum. His daughter wants to abortion but is seduced by the medicine man. The livestock pulls the carriage is swept away by the flood. All the family members have their own personalities and insist on their stubborn which brings many domestic problems. Such as, Addie

7、just wants to find passion, while Anse likes dead language. To defend their own individualities, they try to far away each other deliberately to avoid influencing by others. The fail parents destroy their family relations and their childrens health growth. The mother, Addie, who does not care about

8、her children at all, expect Jewel. To win more maternal love, the children hold a war against each other. Some are defeated, for example, Darl. A father should set up a good example to his children, but Anse is a completely vicious man, who is lazy, selfish and mean. He is weak and coward, as he nev

9、er asserts masculinity and authority in this family. So he is despised by all the people, even his wife and his children. It is normally that the Bundrens children form unhealthy psychological and have tragedy life. The Bundren family is in a special social and cultural context: at the beginning of

10、the 20th century South America. Under this context, the southern is materialistic, selfish, immoral and disintegration. They live in mourning. Both their mental and physical suffer from serious reality, so they live in that “ugl

13、y family”. Facing with their bad fate, they choose to travel long distance resolutely and go through hardships. They make their effort to complete the mission. This is the plight of mankind, our bodies flow scarlet blood and inherits inherent evil when they fear to face the confuse fate. People just

14、 live an unexamined life and wait to die, hurt each other and torture mutually. “They are working hard for themselves. When fate showing off its one grim side, we face it uncomfortable with fearless courage. It is very hard to support each other towards forward.”(Faulkner) Faulkner sees personal par

15、adox and dual personality clearly, also sees the chaos of this world and the impermanence of fate. So he stands aside and gives the chance to the characters those who are under his pen. Let them stand out to talk about their wilderness life and their suffering. And then use a pen to record their own

Human beings records their present, future suffering and destiny.To sum up, human beings exist in this society that there will be some potential or appearance crisis. Positive people are willing to face with the crisis and do their best to resolve the crisis, making t

17、heir life meaningful. However, to the pessimist, they just resign to the fate, such as live a self-pity life, waste their life and waste their precious time. As I Lay Dying, there are crises exist in every character. They do not want to change the status, just live a life for life. It is not doubt t

18、hat they live very hard. If the United States does not implement power policy to get along well with other countries around the world, 9.11 terrors maybe not happen. The terrorist organizations will not focus on to attack the United States. If the United States treats the blacks equal, the blacks will make a great contribution to it which
