She concerned herself with welfare projects, leading China Welfare Institute especially for women and children.Soong Chingling(1893-1981), ChinaA doctor who became a specialist in womens illnesses. She devoted all her lift to medical work for Chi

3、nese women and children. Her work encouraged many other women to become doctors.Lin Qiaozhi(1901-1983), China She developed the science of radioactivity. She is best know for discovering the only person to win two Nobel prizes. She did not paten her discovers but made them available to everyone. She

4、 encouraged the use of X-rays for medical treatment. But she was not sufficiently aware of the dangers of radium and died of leukemia brought on by too much contact with radium.Marie Sklodowska CurieA girl from the countryside who dressed as a man and went to fight for the French and to drive the En
