2、p 1. Lead-inShow a picture about Halloween and ask the students:Which festival is it? How do people celebrate it? Do you want to know?Step 2. PresentationPresent the new words with some pictures.Then read the new words.Step 3. Fast readingRead the letter as quickly as you can and tell us who wrote i

3、t and who received it?(Its from Wendy to Millie.)Tell them not to read all the letter, just read the beginning and the end.Step 4. First readingLet the students read the letter fast and answer the two questions: (1) When is Halloween? (Its on October 31st.)(2) What costume will Wendy wear? (A tiger

4、costume.)Step 4. Second readingAsk the students to read the article carefully and underline all the things that people do for Halloween in the letter. They can discuss in pairs.What do people do for Halloween?(1). The children play a game called “trick or treat” (2). They dress up at Halloween.(3).

5、They make pumpkin lanterns for Halloween. (4). They have a party on the evening of October 31st. Step 5. Listening and reading the paragraphs one by one1.
