28、; One suggested reason for this tradition is that students used to place a white carnation in their red ink-pots when taking exams, so by the last exam it was completely red.  You can easily tell which students have finished their exams by the red carnations. They leave the exam

29、halls through a special back door, running into the arms of their friends.
