6、teacher.動(dòng)詞-ing形式作主語(yǔ)Exploring the rules1. 動(dòng)詞-ing形式可以充當(dāng)動(dòng)詞的賓語(yǔ)以及介詞后的賓語(yǔ)。如:We are considering paying a visit to the Science Museum.Im fond of collecting stamps and coins.2. 后接動(dòng)詞-ing形式作賓語(yǔ)的動(dòng)詞有:admit, appreciate, avoid, consider, delay, deny, dislike, enjoy, escape, excuse, fancy, finish, forgive, imagine, i

7、nclude, involve, keep (on), mention, mind, miss, postpone, practise, prevent, recall, risk, stand, stop, suggest, understand等。如:I have no choice but to delay putting on the show.My temporary job involves travelling around the world.動(dòng)詞-ing形式作賓語(yǔ)只接動(dòng)詞-ingExploring the rules3.后接動(dòng)詞-ing形式作賓語(yǔ)的短語(yǔ)有:have (no/m

8、uch/some/.) difficulty/trouble/a hard time (in), take pleasure in, spend time/money (in), waste time (in), be worth, be busy, feel like, be committed to, be attached to, cant help等。如:What is worth mentioning is his sincere attitude.It feels like allocating adequate time for each subject is impractic

9、al.動(dòng)詞-ing形式作賓語(yǔ)只接動(dòng)詞-ingExploring the rules既可接動(dòng)詞-ing形式又可接不定式(短語(yǔ))作賓語(yǔ)的動(dòng)詞:begin, start, continue, like, dislike, love, prefer, mean, forget, remember, hate, regret 等。(1) 在like, love, hate, prefer等動(dòng)詞之后,用動(dòng)詞-ing形式或不定式意義上沒(méi)有什么不同,只是側(cè)重點(diǎn)有些不同:動(dòng)詞-ing形式表示泛指的動(dòng)作,不定式表示具體的一次性動(dòng)作。(2) 在begin, start, continue之后,用動(dòng)詞-ing形式和不

10、定式,意義無(wú)區(qū)別,尤其是當(dāng)主語(yǔ)是人的時(shí)候。(3) 在動(dòng)詞forget, remember, regret之后,用動(dòng)詞-ing形式與不定式意義不同:動(dòng)詞-ing形式表示動(dòng)作已經(jīng)發(fā)生,不定式表示動(dòng)作還沒(méi)發(fā)生。TipsExploring the rules4. 動(dòng)詞-ing形式作賓語(yǔ),有被動(dòng)形式(being done)和完成形式(having done)。如:This question is far from being settled.He went back to London without having achieved any success.5. 有時(shí)動(dòng)詞-ing形式前還可加物主代詞或名
