Although the exact source of the islands power remains forever shrouded in mystery, an ancient myth tel

4、ls of five kindly spirits who released their magical powers into a natural hot spring that roared from deep within the island. These spirits promised that any who enjoyed the springs sparkling waters would receive a gift: great wealth, true love, good fortune, youthful longevity or eternal happiness

In gratitude, the people erected a colossal tower to be seen for miles as a memorial to those five spirits.Today, a modern leisure park has been built around the island and sculptured images of the five spirits now crown the prehistoric tower. Each overlooks that area of the park inspired by their

6、 particular gift. Thus the Spirit of Wealth peers across a harbour inhabited by treasure-hunting pirates; The Spirit of Love meets the stony gaze of a statue venerating a primitive fertility god; The Spirit of Good Fortune watches those trying their luck on the Boardwalk while the Spirit of Youth sm

9、ed with the zone;A direct, line-of-sight alignment with the tower atop Mystery Island that marks the mythical source of the enchanted waters that flow through the entire resort; At regular intervals every half hour for example coinciding with the eruptions of the geyser from the top of the tower the

11、ery IslandThematic Features VignettesMystery Island .here roams the spirit of good fortuneZone 1, The BoardwalkThe Spirit of Good Fortune is represented in this zone by a wishing pond located directly beneath an arch of stone that straddles the pond to form a pedestal. Mounted on this pedestal is a

12、mammoth stone/metal ring, its outer face, which resembles an ancient Chinese coin is boldly inscribed with the number 8. A gleaming brass wind chime hangs shimmering in the centre of the ring, its individual chimes arranged in a pattern representing the face of Sabeth, the Spirit of Good Fortune. Gu

13、ests are of course invited to toss coins into the wishing well. We suggest proceeds from the well be used to bring under-privileged children to the park for a dayThe ring is aligned with the tower so that the peak of the tower can be seen through the centre of the ring. 16、ring down at guests in solemn silence. The statue is aligned with the tower and during the time the steam whistles is sounding, a pair of lights set into the side of Mystery Island shine brightly through the eyes of Jalyn and onto an ornate platform on the shore. Guests standing on this platform thu

17、s receive the gift of Courage from Jalyn. Only

19、 after they have moved to a special observation deck along the waterfront will they see that the rocks are actually the crown, eyes, nose and mouth of a gigantic statue of Goshan, the Spirit of Wealth lying just beneath the waters surface. From the observation deck these strange features will be ali

20、gned with the tower on Mystery Island in the background. When the steam whistle sounds, the jewelled eyes of the statue glow a bright gold colour, the water in the open mouth bubbles and/or steams and in this way guests receive the gift of Wealth. Perhaps the points of Goshans crown could also appea
