To our delight, my dad went back home safely and healthily on Saturday. On hearing wha
26、t I had done to my mum, he, as well as my mum, beamed at me and gave me a big thumb. Hearing their praises and seeing bright smiles on their faces, I really felt overjoyed and thrilled. Conceivably, taking care of my parents was, indeed and definitely, my mission and obligation. There was a problem
27、with the parking place for bikes in our school. One day, hardly had I arrived at school by bike when I was greeted by an endless queue of bikes at the only entrance, waiting to be parked. I was wondering what I could do to solve the problem, then a good idea suddenly struck me. The school over, my c
28、lassmates and I held a heated discussion, at which a variety of ideas was put forward. After enough consideration, we wrote a letter to the headmaster, sincerely expressing our great concern as well as giving some practical suggestions about the parking issue. Several days later, my classmates and I
29、 set foot in the headmasters office, presenting the letter in front of him. Having carefully read our considerate advice, he thumbed up to us, which really made us wild with joy. The next week, our recommendation taken into account, another parking entrance was added, making the parking stream flow
30、with ease. Only then did I realize that we are all part of one big family. Shouldering the responsibility to better our school is what we really appreciate fulfilling. Last week, as an exchange student, I went to Australia to pay a visit to Jack. Early in the morning, I landed at the airport safely.

Some were busy cleaning the garden while others were polishing the facilities. Soon everything was clean. Tired but eager to do more, we also picke
36、d up the litter on the grass, which would surely please all of the residents. As the Spring Festival was around the corner, we put up New Year decorations on the billboard and a poster with Happy Chinese New Year on it. In no time was the community immersed in a happy and harmonious atmosphere. Havi
37、ng done all these, we saw a more pleasant community. Although we were tired, we felt happy. September, 17th was memorable because it was my headteachers birthday. Knowing that day was my headteachers birthday, we decided to celebrate it for her together in our classroom. After having a heated discus
38、sion, we began to prepare the proper gifts for him. Some of us were busy making greeting cards, while others occupied themselves with the paper flowers. After some fulfilling days, we were all excited to get everything ready. We also ordered a delicate birthday cake. Then came the day for her birthd

44、 the nearby post office. With the letter enclosed, I mailed the book back to Coldwater School by EMS, hoping it would reach the school library as quickly as possible. Everything done, I breathed a sigh of relief. Only then did I realize that integrity and responsibility are good virtues we Chinese c
45、itizens should cherish. Today we experienced an enjoyable period of English class as usual. Before the bell rang, our teacher was already in the classroom, chatting with some of us. Though the activity lasted only one week, I truly learned that it is insensible and uncivilized to waste food. I al

At the beginning of last week, our monitor declared that there would be an English Song Singing competition on Friday afternoon in school audito
