1、Unit 4 I used to be afraid of the dark. Section A (1a-1c)一、教學(xué)目標(biāo): 1. 語言知識目標(biāo):1) 能夠用used to be描述同學(xué)曾經(jīng)的性格特點(diǎn)和相貌,發(fā)現(xiàn)自己或他人在外表、性格、興趣等方面所發(fā)生的變化。2) 能掌握以下句型: Mario used to be really short. Did Mario use to be short? Yes, he did. Whats he like now? Hes tall now.2. 情感態(tài)度價(jià)值觀目標(biāo): 讓學(xué)生明白事物是在不斷發(fā)展、變化的道理,不要以貌取人,培養(yǎng)學(xué)生積極向上的心態(tài)。

Lead in 1. 大屏幕展示Ryan Carter的幾張照片,引導(dǎo)學(xué)生們來描述他的長相特點(diǎn)。T: What does he look like?S1:He has long curly blonde hair. S2: He has a round face, two big eyes. Hes a little hea
3、vy. S2: T: Do you want to know about his story? Ss: Sure. Wed love to. T: Ryans hair is soft and beautiful. His mother thinks its really wonderful. So she cant stand cutting his beautiful hair. But some of Ryans friends say that Ryan cant play with them because he looks like a girl. . Words presenta

Now hes seeing his friends. What did his friends use to like? Listen and fill in the blanks. 2. Play the recording for
6、 the Ss to listen. 3. Ss listen and try to fill in the blanks with the right words. 4. Play the recording again. Let Ss check their answers. . Pair work Ask Ss to make their own conversations. Before making conversations, Let students read the conversation in 1c. Make Ss understand how to do it. 1.
7、Look at the picture in 1a and make conversations in pairs. 2. Ss work in pairs to ask and answer the appearance about Mario, Amy and Tina. 3. Let some pairs ask and answer in pairs. . Summarize Ask the Ss to translate some sentences with “used to do/be. Then tell Ss we need to improve ourselves, and dont judge people by their appearance. .
