基變序，有規(guī)律，一般詞尾th。一二三，特殊記，詞尾字母ddt(third，second,first)。八減t(eighth),九去e(ninth)，f來把ve替(five-fifth,twelve-twelfth)。若是ty作結(jié)尾，ty就變tie，最后再加th(twenty-twentieth)若是碰到幾十幾，只變個位就可以。

第一百、第一千、第一萬、第一百萬、第十億都是在基數(shù)詞后面直接加th構(gòu)成。如：hundred-hundredth,thousand-thousandth

序數(shù)詞的縮略形式是由阿拉伯?dāng)?shù)字?序數(shù)詞的最后兩個字母構(gòu)成。如第25，twenty-fifth=25th

序數(shù)詞前面要加定冠詞

表示“幾十歲”in90s在九十歲時

表示“年代”，用in+the+數(shù)詞復(fù)數(shù)inthe90s/1990s在九十年代

在乘法運(yùn)算的一種表示法里，如3x5=15Threefivesis/arefifteen.2x6=12Twosixsis/aretwelve.

表示地址。英語里面,街道的號碼是放在街道名稱的前面,樓號和單元號是被放在它們的后面的,而生活區(qū)是放在地址的后部.

。地面之上的部分，序數(shù)詞+floor但是英美習(xí)慣不同，Britishconvention有Groundfloor第一層，再上一層是firstfloor，Americanconvention通常不使用Groundfloor，第一層就是firstfloor，再上一層是secondfloor。

表示順序的時候，基數(shù)詞和基數(shù)詞可以互換。如：Lessonfive=thefifthlessonClassfive=thefifthClass

hundred,thousand,million等百，千，萬的詞有兩種用法：1.做名詞時加s,后面與of連用。表示非準(zhǔn)確數(shù)。如hundredsofstudents數(shù)以百計(jì)的學(xué)生2.hundred作形容詞時不用加s,前面加基數(shù)詞，如twohundredstudents.兩百個學(xué)生

分?jǐn)?shù)作主語時,謂語動詞用單數(shù)還是復(fù)數(shù)1.單純的分?jǐn)?shù)做主語時，無論其大小，謂語都要用單數(shù)形式1）Onethirdisbiggerthanonequarter.（三分之一多于/大寫四分之一。）2）Twoandthree-tenthsequqlstwopointthree.（二又十分之三等于二點(diǎn)三。）重點(diǎn)：62.如果是分?jǐn)?shù)修飾名詞作主語時，謂語動詞的單復(fù)數(shù)取決于這個名詞是否可數(shù)1）如果是不可數(shù)名詞，則謂語動詞用單數(shù)。例如：One-thirdofthewaterinthisriverispolluted.這條河里面的水，三分之一都被污染了2）of后面是可數(shù)名詞單數(shù)，則謂語動詞用單數(shù)。例如：Twothirdsofthedeskispaintedred.thedesk3）of后面是可數(shù)名詞復(fù)數(shù)形式，則謂語動詞也用復(fù)數(shù)形式One-thirdofthestudentsaregirls.（這些學(xué)生中三分之一是女生。）

當(dāng)分?jǐn)?shù)詞修飾population時，則謂語動詞一律用復(fù)數(shù)形式。如：SevententhsofthepopulaitoninChinaarefarmers.
