漢語是我們的母語,我們從學(xué)英語開始,就是用漢語來解釋和記憶英語的。變“用漢語解釋和記憶英語”為“用英語解釋和記憶英語”。避免了將英語轉(zhuǎn)換為另一種語言——漢語所帶來的不便和時(shí)間耗費(fèi)。不但提高了效率,而且久而久之,有可能在頭腦中建立起兩種思維系統(tǒng),即在在漢語思維之外,還可以逐步建立起獨(dú)立的英語思維系統(tǒng)。用英語解釋和記憶英語,本身就是在學(xué)習(xí)和運(yùn)用英語,對提高英語語感和英語的閱讀理解能力和綜合運(yùn)用能力很有好處。是一舉多得的好方法。真正做到了用英語品味英語,越品越有味;用英語理解英語,理解更準(zhǔn)確。鑒于本環(huán)節(jié)初次嘗試此種設(shè)置,可能有些學(xué)生對英語解釋不能完全理解,為降低難度,英文解釋后面可進(jìn)一步演示中文解釋,學(xué)生可再通過中文解釋回顧早讀課中已預(yù)習(xí)過的單詞,進(jìn)一步加深記憶。Readtheexplanationandspeakouttheworditexplains.Wordsreviewanareawhichisgovernedaspartofacountryoranempireprovincen.省informationn.信息behaviourn.行為factsaboutasituation,person,event,etcsomeone'sbehaviourishowtheybehavecomprehensionn.理解,領(lǐng)悟theabilitytounderstandcompletelyandbefamiliarwithasituation,facts,etcbrilliantadj.極好的verygoodafeelingoropinionaboutsomethingorsomeone,orawayofbehavingthatiscausedbythisattituden.態(tài)度embarrassedadj.尷尬的feelingashamedorshyinstructionn.(常復(fù))指示,說明somethingthatsomeonetellsyoutodohappeningorexistingbeforesomethingorsomeoneelsepreviousadj.以前的amazingadj.令人吃驚的extremelysurprisingsomethingthattellsyouwhatsomethingorsomeoneislikeenthusiasticadj.熱心的descriptionn.記述,描述showingenthusiasmn.方法methodaparticularwayofdoingsomethingboredadj.厭煩的,厭倦的feelingtiredandunhappybecausesomethingisnotinterestingorbecauseyouhavenothingtodoObjectives閱讀課文介紹了一位高一新生第一天到學(xué)校觀察和接觸到的人和事物以及個(gè)人的感受。能理解課文中介紹學(xué)校的材料并獲取信息。能比較自如地寫出介紹學(xué)校情況的文章。ReadingTips在閱讀時(shí),要注意綜合運(yùn)用略讀(skimming)與掃讀(scanning)這兩種方法。略讀(skimming)只看文章標(biāo)題、下標(biāo)題以及每個(gè)部分或者段落第一行,關(guān)注文章中反復(fù)出現(xiàn)的關(guān)鍵詞。略讀時(shí),要用充足的時(shí)間讀懂段落的第一句和第二句,因?yàn)榈谝痪渫窃摱蔚闹黝}句(topicsentence),而第二句往往是對前句的延伸(extension)或進(jìn)一步的解釋(explanation)。通過略讀把握文章大意運(yùn)用掃讀(scanning)迅速瀏覽從第三句開始的后面部分,搜尋作者對開頭兩句的支持句(supportingsentences),并同時(shí)注意文章中間是否有轉(zhuǎn)折詞(transition),因?yàn)檫@些詞常常會(huì)把文章的思路逆轉(zhuǎn)或加入其它重要的信息。當(dāng)讀到段落的最后一句時(shí),我們又要使用略讀,這時(shí)必須再次放慢速度(slowdownyourpace)直到完全消化作者對段落的小結(jié)(conclusion),因?yàn)樵撔〗Y(jié)有可能與主題句截然相反或引導(dǎo)讀者進(jìn)入下一個(gè)段落。通過掃讀尋找特定信息或特定詞組Readingstrategyskimmingscanningageneralidea
