catch/killhelpThewhalerhuntingatthebeginningof20thcentury捕鯨(whalehunting),將系有繩索的铦或叉、鏢等,采用射擊或投擲方式刺入鯨體進(jìn)行獵捕。獵捕對(duì)象有須鯨和齒鯨兩類,以藍(lán)鯨、長(zhǎng)須鯨、露脊鯨、抹香鯨、座頭鯨、北極鯨、灰鯨、鳁鯨、小鳁鯨等為主。由于鯨油是貴重的工業(yè)原料,歷史上歐洲和美洲一些國(guó)家的捕鯨活動(dòng)長(zhǎng)盛不衰。自20世紀(jì)中葉起,由于過度獵捕導(dǎo)致資源衰退以及國(guó)際上對(duì)捕鯨的限制,捕鯨業(yè)已趨衰落。
