clientwork,Ialsonoticedanothercommonality:Thesewomen'sself-doubtsweren'tsabotaging

theirsuccess.ThevastmajorityofsuccessfulwomenleadersI'veinterviewedandcoachedhave

builtexcitingandsatisfyingcareersevenwhilefacingself-doubt.

Whatthesewomenalsohadincommoniscourageintheabsenceofconfidence—atraitthatis

oftenweaponizedagainstwomenandusedtoexplainwhytheyfailtoachievecareergoals.My

workhasfoundthatsuccessfulwomentakedecisiveactiontomoveforwardevenwhilegrappling

withfearsanddoubtsandquestioningtheirown“readiness”.
