ShehadpaidmuchattentiontothedevelopmentofscienceandtechnologyinChina,andshehadbeenbacktoholdlecturesmanytimessince1973.ShesetupalaboratoryunderhernameinDongnanUniversityin1992.OnFebruary16th,1997,shediedofheartdisease.
