Chapter1:Introduction
BrucellosisisagloballyprevalentzoonoticdiseasecausedbythebacteriaBrucella.Itaffectsawiderangeofdomesticandwildanimals,includingcattle,goats,sheep,pigs,anddogs.Humanscanbecomeinfectedthroughdirectcontactwithinfectedanimalsorconsumptionofcontaminatedanimalproducts.Thediseaseischaracterizedbyfever,fatigue,jointpain,andcanleadtoseverecomplicationsifnottreatedpromptly.Despiteeffortstocontrolanderadicatethisdisease,theprevalenceofbrucellosisremainsachallengeinmanycountries.Therefore,thereisaneedforeffectiveandrapidtreatmentstrategiestoreducetheburdenofbrucellosis.

4.2DiagnosticTests:Earlyandaccuratediagnosisofbrucellosisiscrucialfortimelyinitiationoftreatment.Currently,thestandarddiagnostictestsrelyonbacterialcultureandserology,whichcanbetime-consumingandhavelimitationsintermsofsensitivityandspecificity.Thereisaneedforthedevelopmentofrapiddiagnostictests,suchaspoint-of-caretestsormolecularassays,thatcanproviderapidandaccuratedetectionofBrucellainfections.
4.3OneHealthApproach:Brucellosisisacomplexdiseasethatrequiresamultidisciplinaryapproachforeffectivecontrolandtreatment.Collaborationbetweenveterinarians,physicians,andpublichealthexpertsisessentialtoaddressthisglobalhealththreat.Additionally,effortsshouldbemadetoimprovesurveillanceandreportingofbrucellosiscasestobetterunderstan
