importantpartofculture.Wordsthatdescribeaparticularculturalpracticemightnothavemeaninginanother
language.
Nativegroupsoftenhaveadeepunderstandingoflocalplantsandanimalsbecausetheyhavelivedclosetonature
forthousandsofyears.Wecoulddiscoverimportantthings,suchastreatmentsforillness,bystudyingtheselanguages.
Manyendangered(瀕臨滅絕的)languagesaren'twrittendown.Whenthelastspeakersofalanguagedieandtheir
