在英語中,表示對某件事物的確定程度,即表示推測的時候,我們通常會用到以下情態(tài)動詞:1.must2.might,could,may3.can’t,couldn’t【注意】1.情態(tài)動詞不能表示正在發(fā)生或已經(jīng)發(fā)生的事情,只表示期待或估計某

事的發(fā)生。2.情態(tài)動詞沒有人稱、數(shù)的變化,即情態(tài)動詞第三人稱單數(shù)不加-s。3.情態(tài)動詞沒有非謂語形式,即沒有不定式、分詞等形式。Grammar情態(tài)動詞表推測1.Shecanplaysthepiano.2.Mr.Licouldisathome.3.Theydon’tcanspeakJapanese.

4.Dowecanplaybasketballafterschool?Canyoufindthemistakesinthesentences?4.Canwecanplaybasketballafterschool?1.Shecanplaythepiano.2.Mr.Licouldbeathome.3.Theycan’tspeakJapanese.Grammar可能性:must>can/could>may/mightcannot(can’t)couldnot(couldn’t)maynotmightnot100%probablytrue20%~80%possiblytrue0%almostnottrue一定可能不可能Grammar1.mustmust表示可能性最大的肯定推測,意思是“一定、準(zhǔn)是”。只能用于肯定句。如果要表示“一定不”,應(yīng)該用can’t。eg:Hemustknowtheanswers.

他肯定知道答案。

Hecan’tknowtheanswers.

他肯定不知道答案。Grammar2.can/couldcan表示推測“可能性”時,一般用于否定句或疑問句。can在疑問句中意思是“會,可能”。eg:Hecan’tpickherschoolbagup.他不可能拿了她的書包。could表示某事有可能發(fā)生或可能是事實。eg:Don’teatit.Itcouldgobad.不要吃它,可能壞了。Theplanecouldbeputoffbythestorm.這趟飛機可能會因為暴風(fēng)雨而

推遲。Grammar3.may/mightmay,might表示推測“可能性”時,意思是“可能”,“也許”。might不表示過去時態(tài),語氣更委婉,可能性更小。may,might表推測時,可用于否定句,但不用于疑問句。eg:Hemay/mightnotbeathome,butI’mnotsure.

他可能不在家,不過我也不確定。Grammar情態(tài)動詞表示推測可以分為以下幾種情況:(1)情態(tài)動詞+do

此結(jié)構(gòu)表示對現(xiàn)在或?qū)砬闆r的推測和判斷。

eg:

(2)情態(tài)動詞+bedoing

此結(jié)構(gòu)表示對現(xiàn)在或?qū)碚谶M(jìn)行的情況的推測和判斷。

eg:Atthismoment,myfathercan’tbeworkingintheoffice.Grammar(3)情態(tài)動詞+havedone

此結(jié)構(gòu)表示對過去情況的推測和判斷。

eg:Theroadiswet.Itmusthave

rainedlastnight.

(4)情態(tài)動詞+havebeendoing

此結(jié)構(gòu)表示對過去正在進(jìn)行的情況的推測和判斷。
