might和could常用于肯定句,意為“可能”,must用于肯定句,意為“一定”;否定式may/mightnot意為“可能不”,can’t/couldn’t意為“不可能,肯定不”。如:Thatmay/might/couldbeagoodidea.Youmustbetiredafterthelongjourney.Theremaynotbeenoughmoneytopayforanewcar.Yourstorycan’t/couldn’tbetrue. 如:Theyshould/oughttobuildmorelibraries. 如:Therainshould/oughttostopsoon.7)will與wouldA. will表示現(xiàn)在的習(xí)慣,would表示過去的習(xí)慣。如:Marywilllistentomusicforhoursinherroom.IwouldtakeawalkaftersupperwhenIwasyoung.B. 如:Thebabywon’tgotosleep.C.表示請求(request),would比will更委婉些。 Johndidn’tusetocomehere.DidMikeusetoreadnewspapers?8)shallA. HeshalldoasItellhim.C. 如:Studentsshallnotusecalculatorsduringexams.9)dare與needdare和need作為情態(tài)動詞,常用于疑問句和否定句中。 Ididn’tdaretosayaword.Nobodydaredtoaskanyquestions.Needwefinishtheworktoday?Youneedn’tworryaboutit.Youdon’tneedtocomeyourself.10)情態(tài)動詞的進行式、完成式和被動式A. 如:Jackmaybereadinginthelibrary.B. Youcan’thaveseenHenryyesterdaybecausehewasinLondon.C. Theroadmaybeblocked.6.Readthefollowingdialogueandcompletethetablebelowit.A:MayIaskyouaquestion?B:Yes,please.A:Ifindithardtodecidewhattoread.Wouldyougivemesomeadvice?
