FlorenceNightingaletotakesomenursesintothewarhospitals.So,inNovember
1854,Nightingalefinallygottoworkinahospital.
Shetookalong38nurseswhomshehadtrainedherself.
Atfirst,thedoctorsonthebattlefieldsdidnotwantNightingaleand
hernursesintheirhospitals.Theydidnotbelievethatwomencouldhelp.
Butinfactzthenursesdidmakeadifference.Theyworkedaroundtheclock,
tendingthesick.Thankstotheirhardwork,manywoundedsoldierssurvived.
Afterthewar,Nightingaleandhernursesweretreatedlikeheroes.Finally,
in1860zshestartedtheNightingaleSchoolforNurses.Intime,thanksto
