毛筆這一古老的書寫工具背后,有這樣一個充滿智慧和巧思的故事。古往今來,人們廣泛流傳著“蒙恬造筆”的說法。公元前223年,秦國大將蒙恬率兵與楚國激烈交戰(zhàn),蒙恬需要定期書寫戰(zhàn)況報告。然而當時人們是用竹子或木棍蘸著墨寫字,書寫慢且不方便。有一天蒙恬在狩獵時,看見一只受傷的兔子尾巴在地上拖出一道道血跡,頓時靈感涌現(xiàn)。他剪下兔尾巴上的毛,插入竹管中,試圖用它來書寫。最初的嘗試并不順利,兔毛油膩不吸墨,寫出的字斷斷續(xù)續(xù),但蒙恬并沒放棄,他將筆浸泡在堿性的石灰水中,去掉兔毛上的油脂,發(fā)現(xiàn)兔毛變得柔順許多,書寫起來非常流暢。這便是毛筆由來的一個說話。
