Drinking alcohol also has been linked with high blood pressure, heart disease and stroke. The study found that men were almost seven times as likely as women to report drinking alcohol often.

Experts at the Centers for Disease Control say extra body weight increases the risk of problems such as high blood pressure, heart disease and some cancers. The new government study also found that about fifty
