Lead to the topic in Unit 4-Earthquakes, give a brief introduction about earthquake.Earthquakes,also called quakes are one of the major natural disasters on earth.In fact, earthquakes happen in our world everyday. But most of the earthquakes are so small that we could not feel them, and they

5、always occur in the sea or some mountain and remote areas.When a serious earthquake happens, it would cause huge damage. Houses and roads would be in ruins. Even many people may die in eathquake. 發(fā)生在山區(qū)還可能引起山體滑坡,雪崩等;而發(fā)生在海底的強(qiáng)地震則可能引起海嘯。地震引發(fā)災(zāi)害還會(huì)使管道破裂等引起的火災(zāi),水災(zāi)和毒氣泄漏等。此外當(dāng)傷亡人員尸體不能及時(shí)清理,或污穢物污染了飲用水時(shí),有可能導(dǎo)致傳染病的爆

8、ly, 28th , a terrilble disaster suddenly happened in a beautiful city-Tangshan. That is the Tangshan Earthquake. In this earthquake, houses and roads were damaged, and many people died.Thus, Tangshan earthquake became one of the most famous and terrible earthquake in China in recent decades.Step 5:
