23、TSq Innovated an Advanced Production Scheduling (APS) system with profit and evolutionary optimization for hybrid manufacturing processes. The innovation has been submitted for a US Patent under pending. q A real-time optimization system for FCCU (Fluidized Catalytic Cracking Unit) at a large-scale
24、oil refinery to optimize cracking product distributions with monitoring FCCU operating conditions. Received Ministry Science and technology Award in China q Innovated an integrated neural network control system for a modern hot dip coating line with coating weight prediction and adaptive learning co
25、ntrol. This system replaced the original NKK system imported from Japan. This system was recognized as the first neural learning control system for hot dip coating line in the world. Due to the applications of this novel system, a 5% reduction in Zinc material consumption and an 8% increase in finis
26、hed product yield were obtained. Received 1995 AISE Kelly Award in the USA.q An advanced optimization solution with genetic algorithms for production scheduling system and job sequencing to significantly increase productivity, reduce inventory level and improve on-time delivery performance. The proj
27、ect resulted in one-time savings of $6 million through a 30% inventory deduction and $825,000 annual savings through improving product quality and deduction in inventory and manpower for the customer. The customer commented the performance of this job was “second to none”.q Innovated a computer opti
28、mization system with integration of math model, forecast, optimization and scheduling for steel slab handling, heating, cooling and rolling system. Popularly applied in steel industry in the USA and China. Due to the outstanding contributions, received 1989 and 1993 National Science and technology A
