27、xt week. 海倫 : 我也是。下禮拜見。電話之秘書用語 到國外出差之前, 一般而言都以傳真和外國的當(dāng)事者取得晤面的約定, 很少用電 話聯(lián)絡(luò)。但是在國內(nèi), 或是自己在國外需要緊急晤面的時(shí)候, 利用電話則較為方 便。在本篇中所要介紹的是要求晤面的人:(1)正確介紹自己的姓名,與正確獲知對方姓名。(2)要詢問希望與誰晤面,并且把意思正確地傳達(dá)給對方。(3)要傳達(dá)或詢問約定的時(shí)間與場所。如果能正確地溝通并掌握上述三點(diǎn)原則, 那么你的商務(wù)英文電話就可以說是 及格了。(1)經(jīng)由秘書安排約定I ' d like to make an appoingtment with Mr.Hammer.(我

28、想要和 Hammer先生約個(gè)見面時(shí)間) 原則上約定見面商談時(shí), 應(yīng)事先用傳真或信函同志對方較為妥當(dāng)。 如果在事先未 能以書面告知時(shí),最好說清楚見面時(shí)想說的內(nèi)容,如 to diascuss the contract 洽談合同事宜 。(2)經(jīng)由秘書安排約定Could I see Mr.Hammer sometime this week? (我們能不能在這個(gè)星期跟 Hamme先生見個(gè)面?sometime this week 是這個(gè)星期隨便什么時(shí)候 之意。最好配合自己的日 程表說清楚有空閑的時(shí)間,如 Either on Wednesday or Thursday. (星期三或 星期四都可以)。(3)經(jīng)

29、由秘書安排約定Would it be possible to see Mr.Hammertomorrow? (明天能不能跟 Hammer 先生見個(gè)面?) 左句含有 Does Mr.Hammerhave time to meet with metomorrow? (Hammer先生明天有時(shí)間跟我見面嗎?),或 If he does have time,may I meet him tomorrow? ( 如果他有空,我明天能跟他見面嗎?)之意。(4)經(jīng)由秘書安排約定Whattime is convenient for him? (他什么時(shí)候有空呢?)也可以說 Whattime is he ava

(他什么時(shí)候有空?),但用 convenient 會給人比較 客氣的感覺。如果無法照對方的要求時(shí)間見面時(shí), 就說 'mavailable at three 'clock.( 我三點(diǎn)有空)來試探一下也無妨。(5)經(jīng)由秘書安排約定'd like to have lunch with him tomorrow.(我想明天和他吃午飯)在歐美,商業(yè)界常舉行 a lunch meeting 商業(yè)午餐 。在這種聚餐中,不 但容易相互溝通, 也可以借此加深彼此交情, 因而用餐的時(shí)間長達(dá)三小時(shí)的情形 也屢見不鮮。如果您有時(shí)間,(6)直接求見本人d like to meet

( 能不能給我半個(gè)小時(shí)的時(shí)間?) 這句話是對熟人說的話。 spare 是 騰出(時(shí)間),分讓(東西)之意。有時(shí)間 的話說 Sure.,OK. 等;如果沒空的話說'm afraid I can 't.( 恐怕不行)就可以了。(

32、8)直接求見本人Could we get together at L.A.Restaurant?(我們能不能在洛城餐廳會面?) get together 是聚會、會面 之意的較為隨便的說法。說明聚會地點(diǎn),如某某 餐廳等時(shí),最好指出大家共同認(rèn)識( shared knowledge) 的目標(biāo)比較好。(9)直接求見本人I was wondering if we could arrange a meeting to discuss the new product. (我想,我們是不是可以安排一次會面來討論新產(chǎn)品) 這句是經(jīng)由第三者介紹而尚未謀面的人在約定晤面時(shí)使用。 I was wondering i

33、f. 的說法含有不太拘束形式的溫和語氣。還可以用 Would it be possible to meet and discuss the new product?.(10)直接求見本人'm calling ab out what we discussed the other day.(我打電話是為了前幾天我們所討論的事) 這句是已見過面想再繼續(xù)時(shí)的說詞。接到電話的人可以答稱've beenwaiting for your call. (我一直在等您的電話里),并接著說' s gettogether. When can we meet to talk?(我們來聚一聚。什

34、么時(shí)候可以見面?)(11)詢問目的What would you like to talk to me about?(你要跟我談些什么事?)也可以用 Can l ask you what you want to discuss?.要見面之前,事先了解討論的內(nèi)容、前后關(guān)系、背景( context) 等有助于預(yù)作交涉前的準(zhǔn)備工作。(12)表示同意Sure. (好?。。┖喍痰乇磉_(dá)肯定的方式有 Certainly. ( 當(dāng)然可以) ,Of course.( 當(dāng)然) 等, 意思都差不多。 在談話中如果常用這種簡短詞句會給人幼稚的感覺。 應(yīng)該用一些 不同說法才能給人較佳印象。(13)表示拒絕't t
