“Thesefindingsareveryimportantbecausetheypointoutapotentialhealthproblemthathasnotbeengivenalotofattentioninthepast,"Kenneysaid.“Eventhoughformostofthesekidsthisisnotanimmediate,serioushealthproblem,thisisaproblemthatcouldreallyhaveaharmfulinfluenceonhealthandlifeformanychildrenyearslater."

TheUnitedStatesNationalAgricultureLibrarysaysonaverage,kidsneedbetween10to14cupsofwatereveryday.Thiswatercanefrombothdrinksandfoodsthathavehighamountsofwater,suchascelery,melonsortomatoes.Itisalsosuggestedthatfluids(液體)efromwaterinsteadofsugarydrinksthatarehighincalories(卡路里)andcanleadtoweightproblems.
