復(fù)合句由一個主句(PrincipalClause)和一個或一個以上的從句(SubordinateClause)構(gòu)成。主句是全句的主體,通常可以獨(dú)立存在;從句則是一個句子成分,不能獨(dú)立存在。從句不能單獨(dú)成句,但它也有主語部分和謂語部分,就像一個句子一樣。所不同在于,從句須由一個關(guān)聯(lián)詞(connective)引導(dǎo)。g第二頁第二頁,共34頁??键c(diǎn)設(shè)置1.時間狀語從句(1)引導(dǎo)詞:when,while,as,before,after,assoonas,until/till,since.
注意:a.while所引導(dǎo)的時間狀語從句中的時態(tài)常用進(jìn)行時態(tài)。如:When/Whilehewaseatinghisbreakfast,heheardthedoorbellring.WhilehewaswatchingTV,theboyfellasleep.b.as則強(qiáng)調(diào)主句和從句的動作在同一時間進(jìn)行(一邊...一邊);也可表示“隨著……”.Shesangasshewalkedalong.Astheelectionapproached,theviolence(暴行)gotworse.第三頁第三頁,共34頁。c.since從句中用一般過去時,主句用現(xiàn)在完成時。It’s/Ithasbeen+一段時間+since+時間狀語從句”中,譯作“自從…以來,已經(jīng)…(時間)了”d.assoonas遵循“主將從現(xiàn)”的原則。主句中若用一般將來時,從句則用一般現(xiàn)在時表示將來.
第四頁第四頁,共34頁。小結(jié):till,until和not…until:1.until/till從句用于肯定句時,主句的動詞是延續(xù)性動作,意為“某動作一直延續(xù)到某時間點(diǎn)才停止”。如:
Wewaiteduntil/tillhecame.(wait是延續(xù)性動詞)2.用于否定句時,主句謂語動詞是非延續(xù)性動詞,意為“某動作直到某時間才開始”。此時till/untill可用before代替如:
Hewon’tgotobeduntilherfatherreturns.3.till不可以置于句首,而until可以。如:
UntilyoutoldmeIhadnoideaofit.4.not…until句型中的強(qiáng)調(diào)和倒裝說法:

(2)遵循“主將從現(xiàn)”的原則,(即主句若為一般將來時,從句用一般現(xiàn)在時代替將來。)2.條件狀語從句(1)引導(dǎo)詞:if,unless(=if...not).e.g.IfIamfree,Iwillcallyou.e.g.Ifitdoesn’train,wewillgoforawalk.unless是從屬連詞,它引導(dǎo)條件狀語從句,譯作“除非……否則的話”、"如果....不”e.g.Youwillbelateforclassunlessyoustart
rightnow.除非你現(xiàn)在出發(fā)否則的話年上學(xué)就會遲到的。e.g.Youwillnotsucceedunlessyouworkhard.
