2016,thereserveofLakeNakuruhasnothadanyelephantspoachedoverthepast6years.In

Kenya's580-square-mileMaasaiMaraNationalReserve,long-rangethermalcamerasmountedon

rangingvehiclesallowedrangerstosetupmobileoutpostswherepoachersmayappear.Since

2016,MaraConservancyrangershavecaughtmorethan300poacherswiththehelpofthe

camera.
