44、的意思,但它是介詞。比較:He often takes the bus to work.他經(jīng)常乘公交車上班。 He often go to work by bus.注:動詞詞組作謂語,介詞短語作狀語。8.hear與listen to 釋:hear 意為“聽見”,表示聽的結果,而listen to則表示“聽”,強調(diào)的是“聽”的動作。如:Lets listen to the music. 咱們聽音樂吧!We listen but dont hear.我們聽了,但什么也沒聽見。9. He gets home at 7:00,and he watches morning TV.他七點鐘回家,然后看早見
45、新聞。釋:1)句中get 意為“到達”,后接地點名詞時,要加介詞to,后接副詞時,不能加to,例如:She gets to school at six oclock.她六點鐘到校。注: home 是一個副詞,所以其前不能加介詞to,但home也可作名詞,這時其前有物主代詞時,可以加to,例如:She gets to her home at eight oclock.她8點鐘到家。Can you get there at eight tomorrow morning? 明天上午八點你能到那兒嗎?2)句中 morning news 表示早間新聞,其中news 是一個不可數(shù)名詞。例如:a piece
46、 of news 一條新聞,two pieces of news兩條新聞。WatchOn TV 表示通過電視看節(jié)目。例如:We often watch football game on TV. 我們經(jīng)常通過電視看是球賽。10.Can you think what his job is?你能想到他的工作是什么嗎?釋:這里what his job is表示“他的工作是什么 ”,其中,what his job I 作think的賓語。英語中類似的表達很多,它們在句中可充當主語、賓語、表語等。11.What time is it?-幾點了?-Its eight thirty. 八點三十分。釋:本句是就
47、具體時刻進行提問的,what time 意為“幾點”,這是特殊問句,它的同義句為:Whats the time? /What time is it by your watch? 在回答這個句子時,要用Its +鐘點。注:英語時刻的表達法:順讀法和逆讀法。順讀法:鐘點數(shù)+分鐘數(shù)。例如:4:25four twenty-five,6:58six fifty-eitht,7:seven oclock說明:這種表達不論分鐘數(shù)是多少,均可使用。逆讀法:分鐘為+介詞to/past+鐘點數(shù),可分兩種情況:1)分鐘為不超過半小時,用分鐘數(shù)+past(/pa:st/過)+鐘點數(shù)。例如:4:23twenty-thr
48、ee past four,5:19nineteen past five.2)分鐘數(shù)超過了半小時,用(所差的)分鐘的+to+(下一個)鐘點為。例如:7:31twenty-nine to eight,10:58two to eleven說 明:在逆讀法中分鐘數(shù)逢 “五”逢 “十”可省略minute(s)。否則應加上。當然,英語習慣上把十五分鐘(fifteen)稱作一刻a quarter(kwo:to),三十分鐘(thirty)稱為half/half,因此10:30,可以用兩種表達方式,half past ten,ten thirty。12.Thanks for your letter. 感謝你的來
