3、, pen, girl, boy, desk, school, teacher, eraser, , marker, arm, ear, eye, leg, hand, finger, toe, apple, banana, orange, skirt, hat, car, truck, bicycle, cat, dog, duck, chicken, letter and stamp.Key ConceptsIrregular plural nounsINTRODUCE Remind the students about the word “dishes” from the last un
4、it. The singular form of “dishes” is “dish.” So, to make this word plural, you add es, not just s. Explain that there are other words like this in English. Write “box,” “class,” “glass,” “bus” and “dress” on the blackboard. What is similar about these words? (They end in x, s or sh.) If you try to m
5、ake them plural by just adding s, they are hard to pronounce! (How do you say glasses or boxes?!) In English, its easier to say es than s at the end of these words.
