摘要摘要空闞介譎是英語的重要組成部分。本文從傳統(tǒng)語法和認知語言學的角度來分析空間介詞：前者歷史悠久且對諸多語言學流派頗具影響，盾者是跨學科的新興流派，但對認識世界和語言提出了全新的見解。傳統(tǒng)語法認為語言是外部世界的直接反巍，其對空間介詞的描述有助予教學但缺芝對各個義頊系統(tǒng)而全面的分析和闡釋。認知語言學倡導語言來自于人類對于外部世界的親身體驗，認為對空間的認識成為認識世界的緣起，空間關系因此也成為擴展到其他抽象關系的源頭。因此，以空聞為核心的認知體系的建立，有助于了解語言形成的原因和過程，空間介詞備義項之間的關系也可以因此而得到解釋。隱喻和轉(zhuǎn)喻這兩種認知機制使得空間介詞從空間領域擴展到抽象領域成為可能。本文選擇空閩介詞“蕊o n 和巍艫作為研究對象，其一是因為這三個空聞余詞分別表示“點、線面、體，形成了一個“三位一體的組合，其二是因為這三個空間介詞是英語中僅有的表示拓撲關系的詞，對于這三個詞的研究能為其他介詞的研究提供良好的基礎。本文的研究參考了傳統(tǒng)語法對這三個空間介詞意義的歸納，因為這對認知框架下空間介詞的研究提供了很好的分類標準。本文提出假設，在對空間介詞的義項進行分析時，應該按照兩個層次去劃分：射體與界標之間的關系和界標所在的域。這兩個層次的劃分被應用于“新視野大學英語第四冊語料庫的分析，這樣可以提供這三個空間介詞在英語教材中的真實使用情況。本文假設空間關系是空間介詞表達的最原始的意義，而其他的抽象關系都是通過隱喻和轉(zhuǎn)喻拓展開來的。在空間關系的分析中，葛暑空闖概念可以概念優(yōu)為空間概念成為朗的域。本文研究得出的結論同樣論證了人類對抽象概念的認識來源于其對外部世界韻身體體驗。這一結論對空間介詞教學的啟示作用是：只要了解了這三個空間介詞空間關系的認知分析，其他抽象關系就可以在此基礎上去理解了。最重要的是，認知框架下空間介詞的分析提供了認識世界和語言的一種新的思維方式。關鍵詞；空間介詞；認知分析；隱喻s
