4、here I can go to improve my English or to learn some job skills, which is only five minutes walk from my apartment.Step 2 Presentation關(guān)系副詞的用法:如果需要解釋說明的是地點(diǎn)、時間、原因,那么應(yīng)該如何表達(dá)呢?首先我們來分析以下兩個定語從句:Could you tell me the time when the community center opens?你能告訴我社區(qū)活動中心開放的時間嗎?I still remember the day when I firs

5、t came to the company.我仍然記得我第一次來到公司的那一天。在兩句中“the time” 和“ the day”為先行詞?!?when the community center opens?”和“ when I first came to the company.”是定語從句,用于進(jìn)一步明確具體的時間,并且先行詞所表示的時間在從句中是表示時間的狀語。如:Do you have any idea of the time when it starts? 你知道它開放的時間嗎?I long for a moment when I can have a rest? 我真渴望我能好好

6、休息片刻。I still remember the day when I first met you.我仍然記得初次遇見你的那一天。、2 where 指地點(diǎn),在定語從句中作地點(diǎn)狀語。Shanghai is the city where I was born. 上海是我出生的城市。The house where I lived ten years ago has been pulled down. 我十年前住的房子已經(jīng)被拆掉了。I visited the farm where a lot of cows were raised . 我參觀了那個飼養(yǎng)了許多奶牛的農(nóng)場。Is this the pla

7、ce where they fought the enemy? 這是他們當(dāng)初打敵人的地方嗎?3 why 指原因,在定語從句中作原因狀語。Please tell me the reason why you missed the plane. 請告訴我你誤機(jī)的原因。The reason why he was punished is unknown to us. 他受懲罰的原因我們都不知道。I dont know the reason why he looks unhappy today. 我不知道他今天為什么看上去不愉快。4.并非先行詞是表示時間、地點(diǎn)和原因的詞時都用when, where, wh

8、y,若先行詞在定語從句中不作狀語,而是作主語或賓語,就必須用which或that。 We often think of the days which we spent together in the countryside. which在定語從句中作賓語比較: We often think of the days when we worked together in the countryside. when在定語從句中作時間狀語,相當(dāng)于 on the days。We believe the reason that he told us. 比較: The reason why/for whic

9、h he was absent yesterday is still unknown.他昨天缺席的原因還不清楚。 注意:關(guān)系副詞when, where和why也可用“介詞+which”來代替,要注意其先行詞(名詞)與介詞的合理搭配,介詞根據(jù)先行詞或定語從句的謂語動詞來確定。 when 相當(dāng)于“at/in/on/during + which” where 相當(dāng)于“in/at/on + which” why 相當(dāng)于“for + which” From the years when / in which he was going to primary school in the country ,h

10、e had known what he wanted to be when he grew up. 自從他在農(nóng)村讀小學(xué)時,他就已經(jīng)知道長大后要做什么。 Great changes are taking place in the city where / in which they live. 他們生活的城市正發(fā)生巨大的變化。 The reason why / for which he refused the invitation is quite clear. 他為什么拒絕接受邀請的原因是十分明了的。 Is this the day when/on which I visited the mu

11、seum?是我參觀博物館的那天嗎? Please put the letter on the desk where/on which he can easily find it.請把信放到他比較容易找到的桌子上。This is the reason why/for which he didnt come to the meeting.這就是他為什么沒來開會的原因。結(jié)論:只有當(dāng) “介詞+關(guān)系代詞”充當(dāng)?shù)攸c(diǎn)狀語、時間狀語或原因狀語時,才能用關(guān)系副詞代替。Activity1 6 Read and underline.讀下面的短文,用下畫線標(biāo)出由“when , where,which,that” 引導(dǎo)
