8、the task The task is based on Let Go and Move On to translate. As the source text, the analysis of it is first needed. And then, the task needs to be completed under Tytlers Principles of Translation, so the Principles must be clarified. Besides, the description for the special scenery is also impor

Finally, the translation method must be the most suitable in the task. 1.2 The significance of the task Before know the significance of the task, the researcher understands the reason to choose the task. In the process, the first step is to decide where the resear

10、chers interest lies and decide the source text. The source text is a encouraging novel that the researcher loves much. It is not only a novel but also a reading material for mind and growth, which has a critical influence on the researchers growth process. So the choice of the source is a reflection

Nowadays many people may also have the same difficult times in life, so the researcher hopes that the research will help more people who have suffered a soul strike. After the choice of the source text, the theory is also an important part

12、 of the whole research. There are many translation theories in translation, such as Nidas function equivalence, Skopos theory, Newmarks Theory and so on. The researcher chooses none of them but Tytlers theory. That doesnt mean it is better, but it is more suitable for the source text. Tytlers Princi

It was put up at a relatively early time in 1790, which includes not only the basic translation standard but also the higher requirement for this. For this point, it is related to the source text. There may still exist other reasons that people dont know, but still no clue now. Its no doubt that the translation will expand

At the same time, the researchers translation skill may get some improvements. Chapter Two Research and Reflec

As for the source text, the source text Let Go and Move On is written by Shi dingrou, a woman writer who likes to write some fantasy novel, seldom novel like this. She was born in Wuhan, Hubei province and

20、graduated as a doctor from the university of Toronto. Her writing style is special and exquisite. The novel is made up according to a old lady that she met in America. The old ladys husband has gone away, but he has left a lot of things for the old lady and told her, “just move on.” And the old lady

21、 has lived well according to his words. The whole novel is based on the story between the two olds, mainly about the change of the relationship between Wang lichuan and Miss Xie, in the process, they both have mental maturity and grow up in mind. It displays a positive attitude to life for readers.

22、The selected part of Let Go and Move On can be divided into two parts. The first part is the description of their working process in Wenzhou and the second is Miss Xies decision to live better. The feature of the first part is the daily dialogue and some scenery description. The daily dialogue is tr

The second part includes some foreign culture knowledge and Miss Xies decisions to be better for herself. Most of the sentence are statement sentences, so the sentence st

For the translation practice, the critical reference book is Essay On the Principles of Translation,in which the author first described the Ge

Savory(1957) put up six long-term existing translation questions, one of which is the style of the translation version, which is an important part in Tytlers Principles. Snell Hornby(2009) has the descriptive translation studies in The Turns o

Liu Miqing(2008) stated the importance of amplification and omission in translation, both of them shoul

Feng Qinghua(2008) stated the omission in repetition words and superfluous modifiers. There also exists many researches about the relationship between the three principles and other theories. Ha

Whatever translation skills should obey these translation rules to recreate a better work. Zhao Pengying(2016) put up that, on

In t

32、his book, Tytler put the famous three principles from the original work, style and manner and the fluency of the translation version. His definition for a good translation is like this, “that in which the merit of the original work is so completely transfused into another language, as to be as disti

According to the definition, Tytler put forward the General Rules of Translation as following, (1)Translation should give a complete transcr

Tytler doesnt pursue the dialectical thought of translation, so, in his essay, he avoids the wor

Any translation version cant be separated from the original work, while in the original work, the ideas is

36、the body of one sentence, so the two factors are in the first rule that a translator must obey. The importance of it can also be seen from its list position. The second rule is focused on the style and manner. The selected part is a combination of daily dialogue, work lifestyle and art style. So the

The third rule is to follow ease of the original composition, translation could be seen as a kind of creation of the original, but still has limits in some level. To balance the limit and creation, the ease is the final choice. In the transl
