But they maynot know the details about the development of English, the difference of dif

3、ferent kind of English in spelling or pronunciation.What's more, most students can not employ different kinds of reading skills to understand the text freely. Students in that grade are easily activated by pictures and sounds and they like to air their opinions about something. So discussion in

4、groups ,games, pair work will be easily carried out.Teaching content analysisThe analysis of teaching materialsThis reading material is from PEP NSEFC Module1 Unit2English around the World. Thetitle of the passage is The Road to Modern English. The topic of this unit is English language,includes its

5、 development and different kinds of English, namely the development of English history, from old English, middle English to Modern English. It gives Ss the chance to have a glance of the history of English language.Para.1 and para.5 both talk about the spreading of English in space, from England to

6、other countries. Para.2,Para3 and para.4 both talk about the development of English in time order. Para.2 serves as a part attracts Ss'interests,which talks the difference between British English and American English. So the teaching order is rearranged, not from para.1 to para.5, but firstly, p

7、ara3, para2 and para4,secondly, para1 and para5 .
