1、ReadingafterPrideandPrejudiceRecentlyIhavebeenreadinganovelcalledPrideandPrejudice,whichwaswrittenbyJaneAusten.AlthoughIhaventfinishedityet,Istillhavesomethingtowrite.Thewriter,JaneAusten,wasanEnglishwoman.ShewasborninSteventon,Hampshine,whereherfatherwasarector.Shewastheseconddaughterandtheseventhc
2、hildinafamilyofeight.Thefirst25yearsofherlifeAustenspentinHampshire.Austindidntgotoregularschools,butshereadmanyliteraryworksatherparentsguidance.Shestartedwritingabouttheageof20,andpublishedsixnovels.PrideandPrejudice(1813)andEmma(1816)arethebest-knownbooksofthem.VirginiaWoolfcalledher“themostperfe
3、ctartistamongwomen”.Mostofhernovelswerealladaptedintomoviesandsuccessfulintheworld.Forlivinginasmallcountrytown,contactingthemediumandsmalllandlords,pastoraswellastheirquietandcomfortablelivingenvironment,therewerenosignificantsocialcontradictionsinherworks.Shedescribedatruthfulpictureofherworld,esp
