Warming up: Talk about the cartoon on page 113 and ask what hobbies the students have.2. leading-in(1) Ask the students to discuss the questions in A1, readingA and then talk about

3、something about stars.(2) Show the students some pictures about stars and different groups of stars; ask if they know the names of them.3. Reading (1) Scanning, let the students read the text quickly and ask them to try to get a general idea of the article. (2) Skimming, let the students read the te

4、xt again and finish exercise A3; then check the answers orally. 4. Language points (1) Get the students to discuss in pairs or groups and ask them to find out the language points as many as they can. (2) Explain the usage of some important and difficult phrases or words to the students.5. Practice P

Using used to/ did not use to (1) Explain that we use “used to do” to say something happening regularly or requently in the past, but not any longer at the present. Tell the students its negati

13、ve form and how to use it in question. (2) Ask the students to make sentences using “used to do” and finish the exercise on P.120.4. Warming up(1) Ask the students to discuss what they should pay attention to when completing notes in listening. (2) Tell the students how to guess a missing word in listening.

Listening B (1) Ask the students what hobbies they have. (2) Get the students to listen and finish the
