1、序言從今年年初開始,我一直向同學(xué)們許諾,要把機(jī)考單詞重新整理訂校,直到最近才做出一個(gè)象樣的東西。在我自己的GRE備考生涯中,詞匯方面給我最大幫助的兩本書是:老俞97版的GRE詞匯精選和I GET ALL,因此在我整理這些詞匯的過程中,一直將我認(rèn)為的這兩本書中的精華貫穿始終:紅寶書中的幫你背單詞的思想,和I GET ALL 中的M-W的釋義。我將我在編輯詞匯的過程中所做的工作羅列如下:1,訂校了每一個(gè)單詞和類比反義題,用2000版紅寶書中的漢語釋義解釋每個(gè)單詞,對每一個(gè)類比反義題提供了M-W的釋義。2,給大多數(shù)的單詞提供了詞綴和詞根的分析,以及一些聯(lián)想記憶的方法。3,給每個(gè)單詞加注了音標(biāo)。4,對
2、一些有爭議的類比提出了我自己的看法,考法不明的單詞做出了標(biāo)記。由于時(shí)間緊迫,我做的東西還比較粗糙,就在我將手頭的工作進(jìn)行進(jìn)一步的完善的過程中, ETS突然宣布,在中國的GRE考試將恢復(fù)為紙筆考試。很多同學(xué)聽到這個(gè)消息后的反應(yīng)是“復(fù)習(xí)時(shí)無從下手”。我很理解大家的心情,所以把我手頭所有的資料上載,供大家復(fù)習(xí)使用。紙筆考試以后機(jī)考出現(xiàn)過的單詞仍然很重要,但不再是唯一。經(jīng)過對GRE 的研究就會發(fā)現(xiàn),ETS 出題一向有延續(xù)性,而機(jī)考的單詞就是目前ETS 考試的最新動態(tài),也是我們能拿到的最新題,它的參考價(jià)值不言自明。但同時(shí)我們也要知道,機(jī)考的單詞絕不能還是我們復(fù)習(xí)GRE詞匯的唯一依據(jù),對于任何一個(gè)考生來說
3、,詞匯的復(fù)習(xí)將不再有捷徑。這樣對流了更多的汗,掌握了更多詞匯的同學(xué)來說是公平的。這也是我個(gè)人認(rèn)為紙筆考試回歸的重要意義所在。站在另一個(gè)角度來看,“人為刀俎,我為魚肉”。目前我們能做的選擇就是提高自己的實(shí)力,面對現(xiàn)實(shí),屏棄所有僥幸心理,踏踏實(shí)實(shí)走好每一步。在我做這個(gè)工作的過程中得到了很多同學(xué)的支持,他們中有朱政、JOJO、趙輝、BIGHAND、周浩等等,首都醫(yī)科大學(xué)的陳鑫、徐春麗為這本書做了大量的工作。在此一并向所有人表示感謝。第二部分 List 1 abandon : inhibition = despair : hope = tranquility :agitation放任:禁止= 絕望:希
