過去完成時經(jīng)常與一般過去時連用,表示過去某個動作發(fā)生前完成的動作。與過去完成時連用的表示時間的詞或詞組有when,after,as

sooner…than,hardly…when等。過去完成時不能與副詞ago連用(ago只能與一般過去時連用)。
