to2.持續(xù)系動(dòng)詞用來表示主語繼續(xù)或保持一種狀況或態(tài)度,主要有keep(保持),remain(依然),stay(保持),lie(保持),stand(矗立著),sit(坐),continue(繼續(xù))。Healwayskeptsilentatthemeeting.他開會(huì)時(shí)總保持沉默。

Whateverhappens,weshouldkeep/staycalm.不管發(fā)生什么事,我們都要保持鎮(zhèn)靜。Theweathercontinuedhotaftertherain.雨后,天氣依然很熱。Thehousestoodemptyforyears.這房子多年空著。3.表象系動(dòng)詞用來表示“看起來、似乎、顯得”這一概念,常用的有seem,appear,look。Heappearedtiredandsleepy.他顯得很疲倦,好像要睡著了。

4.感官系動(dòng)詞用來表示人的感覺的一類動(dòng)詞,常用的有l(wèi)ook(看起來),feel(摸起來、感覺),smell(聞起來),sound(聽起來),taste(嘗起來)。

5.變化或結(jié)果的系動(dòng)詞用于表示主語變成什么樣,常用的有become(變成),grow(長得),turn(變得),fall(變?yōu)?,get(變得),go(變得),come(成為),prove(證明是)。Thestudentsfellquietasthescientiststartedtospeak.

It’saweeksinceshefellill.她得病一周了?!裉貏e提示:1.get,become,go,turn,grow的區(qū)別:1)become:一般表示變化過程已經(jīng)完成,較正式,通常不用來表示未來的事,后接形容詞、名詞、過去分詞作表語。Helenbecameanelectronicengineer.海倫成了一名電子工程師。2)get:表示一種變化過程,強(qiáng)調(diào)的是“漸漸變得”,更口語化,通常接形容詞,也可以用在lost,

2.look,seem,appear的區(qū)別1)在意義上:look:一般用于非正式場合,側(cè)重指從本身外表特征上由視覺得到的印象。seem:指說話人內(nèi)心的估計(jì)與判斷,有一定依據(jù),接近于實(shí)際情況。appear:常用于正式文體中,指某事物或人給他人的表面印象,有時(shí)含有實(shí)質(zhì)上并非如此之意。Helookslikehisfather.(指其長相看起來相像)Heseemslikehisfather.(指說話人從個(gè)性方面得到的判斷)Mymusicteacherisfiftybutsheappearsyoung.

我的音樂老師已五十歲了,但看起來很年輕。(其實(shí)并不年輕)2)look,seem之后可接介詞like,但appear之后一般不能。Helooks/seemslikeafool.他看起來像個(gè)大傻瓜。3)appear和seem后可接不定式和that引導(dǎo)的從句,但look較少用。Heseems/appearstohavetravelledalot.他似乎去過許多地方旅行。Itseems/appearsthatheisverytired.他似乎很累了。3.keep,remain,stay1)系動(dòng)詞keep意思是“保持……狀態(tài)”,后常接形容詞或介詞短語,如alive,awake,cheerful,silent,dry,well,fit,fine,close,clean,happy等。Inordertokeepfit,allstudentsgoinforsports.為了保持健康,所有學(xué)生都參加體育運(yùn)動(dòng)。We’dbetterkeepintouch.我們最好保持聯(lián)系。2)remain意思是“仍然存在……狀態(tài)”,后接形容詞、過去分詞、名詞或介詞短語,強(qiáng)調(diào)某種狀態(tài)前后無變化。PeterbecameajudgebutJohnremainedafisherman.彼得當(dāng)了法官,而約翰依舊是漁民。Yourroomremainslikethis.你的房間依舊是這樣子。3)系動(dòng)詞stay是“保持……狀態(tài)”,后接形容詞、分詞等。常可與keep互換。Thedoorstayedclosed.門一直關(guān)著。Pleasestayseated.請(qǐng)繼續(xù)坐著。Ihadtostayawakeallnightlookingafterthesickbaby.

我照顧那個(gè)病兒,一整夜沒有睡。4.一些系動(dòng)詞同時(shí)也是實(shí)義動(dòng)詞,如果是及物動(dòng)詞可有被動(dòng)語態(tài),可以單獨(dú)作謂語。對(duì)比這些句子:Hefellillyesterday.他昨天病了。(fell是系動(dòng)詞,后跟表語,說明主語情況)

Hefellofftheladder.他從梯子上摔下來。(fell是實(shí)義動(dòng)詞,單獨(dú)作謂語)Shesmeltthemeat.她聞了聞那塊肉。(smelt是實(shí)義動(dòng)詞,說明主語動(dòng)作)Theflowerssmellverysweet.這些花聞起來很香。(smell是系動(dòng)詞,說明主語的特點(diǎn))Itwascloudythismorning,butfortunatelyithasturnedfine.

今天早上是陰天,幸好已經(jīng)轉(zhuǎn)晴了。(系動(dòng)詞)Allthelightsinthehousewereturnedoff.屋里的燈都關(guān)掉了。(實(shí)義動(dòng)詞)5.瞬間系動(dòng)詞與時(shí)間段連用英語中某些表示瞬間意義的系動(dòng)詞,如become,turn,prove等不能與“for+時(shí)間段,since+時(shí)間點(diǎn),until,sofar”等直接連用。如:①不能說:Hehasbecomeapolicemanfor12years.應(yīng)改為:Hehasbeenapolicemanfor12years.②不能說:Hehasturnedwritersinceeightyearsago.應(yīng)改為:Hehasbeenawritesinceeightyearsago.③不能說:Hegotangryuntilhischildcamebackhome.應(yīng)改為:Hedidn’tgetangryuntilhischildcamebackhome.二、表語:表語用來說明主語的性質(zhì)、身份、特征和狀態(tài),與系動(dòng)詞一起構(gòu)成復(fù)合謂語,即簡單句五種句型之一:“主語+系動(dòng)詞+表語”。表語可以由名詞、代詞、形容詞、副詞、介詞短語或起名詞、形容詞作用的詞或短語(如:不定式,動(dòng)詞-ing形式等)擔(dān)任,也可以是從句。但是許多系動(dòng)詞多接形容詞或相當(dāng)于形容詞的詞,如動(dòng)詞-ing形式。Pollutionfromcarshasbecome
