6、 spoke English very carefully, but very clearly as well.(1)not onlybut also的用法。·not only. but (also).在句中常用來連接兩個對等的成分,also可以省略。練習:他不但在學英語,而且還在學法語。·not only. but (also). 用來連接兩個主語時,謂語動詞的單、復數(shù)遵循“就近原則”,即和but (also)后的名詞或代詞的數(shù)一致。練習:不但周霞,而且她的父母都喜歡看足球比賽。·not only. but (also). 連接兩個分句,當not only位于句

7、首,前一個分句常用倒裝來表示強調,而but (also)后的分句仍用陳述語序。練習:李小姐不但喜歡音樂,而且還喜歡體育。注意事項:1、 就近。指謂語形式取決于離它近的主語。Not only the students but also the teacher reads English every day.2、 一致。not only 與 but also后面所接的詞類要一致。She can not only sing but also dance.3. not only but also 不能用在否定句中。例子:誤: They don't fear not only hardship

9、the time at a time一次;同時 at one time曾經; at any time隨時 at all times總是 at times偶然 in no time立刻,馬上 at no time決不,什么時候也不【位于句首,要倒裝】例子:You may use my dictionary ( at ) any time .At no time should we give in . ·辨析some time 一段時間;一些時候sometime 將來某個時候sometimes 偶爾;有時some times 若干次 例如:例子:I have been waiting f

10、or your for some time . 我等你老長時間了。Ill visit you sometime next year . 明年有機會我會去拜訪你的。He comes to see me sometimes . 他有時來看我。He has been here some times . 他來過這兒多次了。·time做時間講,一些重點句型。 Its time for sth . 或 Its time ( for sb . ) to do sth . 意為:該是的時候了。Its ( high ) time ( that ) sb . did sth .意為:該是的時候了。該句型

11、中的that 從句需要用虛擬語氣,謂語動詞常用過去式。練習:我們該出發(fā)了。該是我們報效祖國的時候啦。Its time that we devoted ourselves to our country .This is the time when sb . should do sth . 或The time has come when sb . should do sth . 這兩個句型也用來表示“該是的時候了”,when 引導的定語從句用陳述語氣或“should + 動詞原形”的形式。練習:是你該起床的時候了。This is the time when you should get up .e

12、very ( each , any , next , first , last ) time 作連詞使用,引導時間狀語從句。練習:我每次遇見他,都覺得他又長高了。Every ( Each ) time I saw him , I found him to be taller . by the time 引導時間狀語從句時,意為:到時為止,主句一定要用完成時態(tài)。練習:愛迪生十二歲時,就建立了自己的化學實驗室。By the time he was twelve , Edison had built a chemistry lab for himself 。This is the first ( s

13、econd , last ) time ( that ) sb . has done sth . 意為:是某人第幾次。在該句型中,this 可以由that 或it 替換;從句中的謂語動詞必須用完成式,且要與主句謂語動詞be 的時態(tài)保持一致。·表示倍數(shù),可數(shù)名詞。三倍以上倍數(shù)的表達方式常用以下幾種句型:(1)A is times + as + 形容詞或副詞的原級 + as + B(2)A is times + 形容詞或副詞的比較級 + than + B .(3)A is times + the + 名詞 + of + B .練習:起居室的面積是廚房的三倍。你的包比我的大三倍。你的蛋糕比

14、我的大一倍。The sitting room is 3 times as large as the kitchen .Your bag is three times larger than mine . Your cake is twice the size of mine . 注:以上三個句型可互相換用,但有兩點需注意:在使用句型(2)時,要注意“倍數(shù)”的表達法,使用句型(3)時應首先掌握length , width , depth , height , weight , size 等幾個由形容詞變化過來的名詞形式。7. he answered me, but he spoke neithe

15、r slowly nor clearly.(1)Neithernor·含義:既不也不·主謂一致(臨近原則)練習:孩子和老師都對這個不太了解。注:臨近原則由連詞or, eitheror, neithernor, not onlybut also,等連接的并列主語,如果一個是單數(shù),一個是復數(shù),則謂語動詞按就近一致原則,與最靠近它的主語一致。在“There be” 句型中,謂語動詞和靠近的主語一致。以here開頭的句子,其謂語動詞和靠近的主語一致。注:主謂一致A 語法一致 主語是單數(shù)時,盡管后面跟有 but ,except, besides, with 等介詞短語,謂語動詞仍用單

16、數(shù)。一些只有復數(shù)形式的名詞,如people, police, cattle, clothes等作主語時,謂語動詞要用復數(shù)。由each, some, any, no, every 構成的復合代詞作主語時,謂語動詞都用單數(shù)。有兩部分構成的物體的名詞,如glasses, shoes, trousers, chopsticks, scissors 等作主語時,謂語動詞用復數(shù)。如果這類名詞前用了a pair of等,則往往用作單數(shù),謂語動詞的單復數(shù)形式往往取決于pair的單復數(shù)形式。B 意義一致C 臨近原則8.
