重音包括單詞重音和句子重音每個單詞孤立發(fā)音時都是有重音的，但在朗讀英語或用英語交談時,并不是句子中的每個詞都讀得一樣響亮,一樣清楚,而是有些詞讀得或說得又輕又快,而且較為含糊,有些詞則讀得或說得又重又慢,而且較為清晰。那些讀得或說得響亮而清晰的詞就是句子重音所在。句子重音的功能

1.體現句子的節(jié)奏感和韻律感。

2.突出重點,使聽者更容易理解。1.名詞(n.)名詞在句子中通常都要重讀。例如：

The`pay`phoneisbe`tweenthe`post`officeandthe`library.

They`wanta`cook,a`libraryas`sistantanda`sports`coach.2.代詞(pron.)

(1)疑問代詞、指示代詞和名詞性物主代詞等都有句子重音。例如：

`Who`cookedthe`pizzaforyou?

`That`jacketis`mine.`Hisisonthe`bed.

(2)人稱代詞和形容詞性物主代詞等沒有句子重音。你看：

Hecan`talklikeour`teacher.

Areyou`happywithyour`English?3.形容詞(adj.)形容詞一般都有句子重音。請看：

`Amyis`seriousand`shy.

`Whoisthe`tall,`thin`boywith`curly`hair?Thestreetsarewideandclean.(這句話中的streets是名詞,wide和clean是形容詞,它們都要重讀;the,are,and不重讀。)
