3、y is it today? Whats the date today?設計說明:上課開始進行日常交際練習,可以使學生下課松散的心快速回到課堂上來。2. Write two dates side by side on the blackboard. The first is todays date, including the year (Sep. 8,2010) and the second is the same day, but ten years ago (Sep.8,2000). Then ask one student to stand up and say, Liu Ying i
4、s tall. Ask the other students,T: Was Liu Ying tall ten years ago?Ss: No. She was short.T: Thats right. She was short. But now she is tall. We can describe her like this: Liu Ying used to be short, but now she is tall. And she used to have long hair, but now she has short hair.Write the following on
5、 the blackboard:Sep.8,2010 Sep.8,2000tall shortshort hairlong hairSay, we use “used to” to talk about things that have changed.Write the title “Unit 2. I used to be afraid of the dark” on the blackboard and explain it, and then show knowledge objects to students, ask one student to read the objects
6、to the class.設計說明:在這一活動中,教師是組織者、引導者,學生是活動的主體參與者。通過創(chuàng)設的真實語境引出本節(jié)課課題,引出本節(jié)課的學習目標。這樣學生會對本節(jié)課所學內容有所了解。Step2 PreparationLet students finish 1a, fill in the chart with words to describe people. Ask two students to write their answers on the blackboard and ask some students to correct the wrong answers. Then t
7、ell students the words under Appearance will describe how people look and the words under Personality will describe what people are like. Check the answers with the whole class and ask students to read the words .Make sure all students understand what each word means.設計說明:這一任務主要是通過學生自主學習來完成的,有利于培養(yǎng)學生
8、的自主學習能力。通過填這個表格,讓學生能夠區(qū)分表示外表和性格的詞語,也為后面的學習內容做好鋪墊。Step3 PresentationTell students I used to be shy. How about you? What did his friends used to look like? Let students look at the picture and compare the differenc
11、e between people in the picture.Play the tape for the first time, students only listen .Play the tape again, this time , students listen and fill in the blanks. Check the answers. Play the tape for the third time, students listen and repeat。設計說明:通過聽力訓練來提高學生的聽和理解的能力,同時又對本節(jié)課的主要內容進行了鞏固。讓學生跟讀錄音材料,訓練正確的語
12、音語調,也進一步鞏固目標語言,使學生對本節(jié)課的內容學得更扎實。Step 6 Practice 1c, let students read the conversation together, then let them look at the picture and talk about Amy and Tina in pairs.
