Nevertheless, the r
28、ight teaching method has never been reached a consensus. In my point of view, parents should not express their disagreement to the teacher if the teaching method is not right, for the definition of “right” teaching methods is varied. Firstly, teachers have to handle a variety of students in the clas
29、s. In other words, for teachers, they need to adopt certain teaching strategy that suits a wide range of students. If all parents express their disagreements when they discover something improper and interrogate what the teacher does for his or her teaching pedagogy, no one is winning; worse, the cl
30、ass curriculum will need to be altered to fit different needs of “parents” from the student body. If the teachers are forced to adhere to various teaching methods at the same time, the students learning right is ruined and teachers just cannot cater to all the needs of different parents. Secondly, m
31、any students discover something through the process of self-learning. As Mark Twain once remarked, 'Name the biggest inventor accident.” Even if some teachers cannot satisfy the needs of all students through the proper teaching methods, students can still learn from their own exploration in the
32、subject. For physics, students can make fast progress through reading all kinds of books in order to solve their doubts or questions, such as about sound or the universe. Intrigued by those extra reading, students are able to know that knowledge is not just constrained to the textbook. For music or
33、even art, there is no set “right methods” to teach students. The role of teacher is to guide, to stimulate, and to inspire, rather than to give out a cold and solid teaching method to lead out the true potentials of each student. If parents express their disagreement in the process of the learning w
34、hen they feel not right, the students will feel confused and bewildered for what is right and what is wrong, which is detrimental to the cultivation of their self-exploration. Besides, in most cases, teachers will deliberately give out wrong answers or research directions for students because studen
35、ts can learn better, in some cases, through the process of making mistakes. If parents interfere, all the learning process will not be carried out in the most promising way possible. Thirdly, students will lose faith to teachers if teachers revise their teaching methods all the time. Learning is not
36、 just about absorbing new things from teachers; further, it is about the confidence as well as authority that students hold for teachers. On one likes to learn from a teacher whose teaching methods are constantly questioned. When students lose faith in the one who imparts the knowledge, they will no
37、t follow the guidance. Moreover, many students like teachers who go easy on them for homework. If the teacher is strict with them, they might tell parents about it that potentially might misguide the parents to query the teachers teaching methods. Due to the fact that parents only listen to what the
38、 students say, they might really question the teacher for how he or she teaches, which is not, at all, helpful to teachers along with the entire curriculum as a whole. Of course, some people may think that education is way pivotal and once parents sense the inadequate approaches the teacher utilize,
39、 they should express their disagreement and discuss with the teachers. Since we cannot over emphasize the importance of education, parents should be involved and participate in the teaching approaches for the best quality of teaching. Sometimes teachers are too centered on the teaching or their own
40、opinions, yet the methods might not be the perfect for everyone in absorption. If parents can tell the teachers about it, they can improve the whole teaching methods for the betterment. However, the disagreement of the parents for the teaching methods should not be expressed overly or simple just qu
41、estion when parents see unfit. There might be more disadvantages than advantages since one disagreement can lead to another disagreement. The school is composed of a group of people and they all have their own perspectives on what should be taught and what methods should be used. In conclusion, we c
42、annot deny the fact that there are some merits for parents expressing disagreements on the teaching approaches of teachers when they find something wrong, which is not adequate for the teachers as well as the teaching curriculum planned in advance. All parents have their right to express what they t
43、hink or what they consciously regard mistakes on the teaching methods. However, there is no definite answer to what an ideal teaching method should be. Thus, I hold the opinion that parents should not express their disagreements to the teacher if parents find the teaching method is not correct, whic
44、h is surely not conducive to the school,teachers as well as students. Sample Answer 2Some students prefer to have their final grades determined by numerous small assignments, whereas others prefer to have their final grades determined by only a few large ones. Which do you prefer and why? The issue
45、of “grade” cannot be overemphasized among students as well as teachers. Students attending schools are usually setting their goals of obtaining high grades, which can be deemed as the reward of their diligence performed in the leading process. Some students prefer the grade being determined by many
46、short assignments, while others prefer it being based on one or two long assignments. Personally, I would choose my grade be based on many short assignments, rather than being decided in one or two assignment. To begin with, for students, one of the best methods to evaluate their understanding about
47、 the coursework is through many short assignments. Learning is a process, not something that can be reached in the shortest time possible. Even the brainiest kids often encounter learning problems. Thus, if students grade is based or many short assignments, they can read and study more often on the
48、scope the assignment sets. In other words, they can find out their weakness or problems via many assignments and out those problems. Some subjects, such as math, chemistry or physics, are based on gradual comprehension of the rudimentary knowledge. If students do not solve their questions they may h
49、ave hard time understanding the lesson. Secondly, it is more efficient for teachers to give out feedback. With many short assignments practiced, students can frequently receive the feedback from teachers who can therefore give out step-to step answers or guidance to each student. Each short assignme
50、nt provides stimuli to students who can definitely learn better at school. On the contrary, if students' grade is based on only one or two long assignments, students cannot receive timely feedback from teachers. There would be tons of questions revealing from students who only acquire their grad
51、es from one or two assignments. Exhausted, teachers would be dealing with so many questions in one go, which will decrease the efficiency of learning as a whole. Additionally, due to less evaluation, teachers might not be sure about the fact that students perceive the subject he or she teaches. Thus
52、, the outcome will not be as promising as frequent short assignments do. With many short assignments, students, admittedly, will feel bothered and annoying that they might end up doing slacking work for all the short assignments. Even if students are all seriously about those short assignments and m
53、ake all the efforts to achieve high score, they will feel constant pressure for the frequent submission of assignment. However, assignments divided into shorter ones enable students to gradually learn the subject little by little. They might fail a few times, yet they can make it up by studying indu
54、striously. Besides, teachers can always help out in the process of their learning and adjusting the level for the course based on students grades. The advantages far outweigh the petty shortcomings. In order to provide the best learning approach to students in terms of giving grades teachers are deb
55、ating over whether or not they need to give grades based on many short assignments or on one or two long assignments. To me, apparently, I prefer the grades given in accordance to many short assignments. The major goal for young students is to learn in a process when they can adjust their learning s
