Analysis of the Students The students of Grade 9 have mastered certain vocabularies，expressions and structures. They also have the abilities of self-teaching and working in groups. Most of them are willing to express their opinions in English.2. Analysis of Teaching ContentLesson 58 is the fourth lesson in Unit 10, Book 5.This unit focus on the subject Get Ready for the Future, Students cares about the subject because it is close to everyone. Lesson 58 mainly talks about Ms. Lius speech at graduation, students will also feel the teachers instructions to them. By having the lesson, I want to help them build their confidence to face difficulties which they may face in the future. Explain the language points:go by 在本句中的意思是 “（時(shí)間）過(guò)去；逝去”。e.g. The hours go by quickly when you are study.學(xué)習(xí)的時(shí)候時(shí)間過(guò)得很快。go by 還有 “從旁邊經(jīng)過(guò)” 的意思。e.g. The cars went by us. 那些轎車從我們身旁駛過(guò)。 the parade just went by. 隊(duì)伍剛走過(guò)去。 go by 還有 “順便拜訪” 的意思。e.g. I went by his family yesterday afternoon. 我昨天下午順便拜訪了他的家人。at times意為“有時(shí)，偶爾”，與sometimes和from time to time意思相近，常在句中作狀語(yǔ)。 e.g. We eat out together at times / sometimes / from time to time. 我們偶爾外出吃飯。no matter 意為“無(wú)論；不論”，與疑問(wèn)詞連用引導(dǎo)讓步狀語(yǔ)從句，如no matter who (無(wú)論誰(shuí))，no matter what (無(wú)論什么)，no matter which (無(wú)論哪一個(gè))，no matter how (無(wú)論怎樣)，no matter where (無(wú)論在哪里)等。 e.g. My teacher is always welcome no matter where you are. 無(wú)論在哪兒你都是受歡迎的?！皀o matter +疑問(wèn)詞”結(jié)構(gòu)可以與“疑問(wèn)詞-ever”引導(dǎo)的讓步狀語(yǔ)從句進(jìn)行同義句轉(zhuǎn)換。Whoever / No matter who you are, you must observe the rules of school.無(wú)論你是誰(shuí)，你一定要遵守學(xué)校的規(guī)則。No matter what / Whatever you may say, I still think I did the right thing.無(wú)論你說(shuō)什么，我始終認(rèn)為我做得對(duì)。pick oneself up在本句中的意思是 “（使自己重新）鼓起勇氣（樹(shù)立信心）”。pick oneself up也有 “站起來(lái)”的意思。e.g. He picked himself up and walked on continue. 他站起來(lái)，繼續(xù)往前走。pick作動(dòng)詞，意為“采；摘”，其后可以跟表示花、水果等的名詞作賓語(yǔ)。另外，pick還常與up搭配構(gòu)成短語(yǔ)pick up，意為“拿起；舉起，揀起；恢復(fù)（健康、談話）；收看（聽(tīng)）；搭載”。如果賓語(yǔ)為名詞，可放在up之前或之后；如果賓語(yǔ)為代詞，只能放在pick與up之間。 e.g. He picked themselves up and faced the difficulties work. 他鼓起勇氣，勇敢面對(duì)困難。 Who is picking flowers in the garden? 誰(shuí)在花園里摘花？ Would you like to pick the paper up?
