獨(dú)立結(jié)構(gòu)(theAbsoluteConstructions)是帶有自己邏輯主語(yǔ)結(jié)構(gòu),又稱獨(dú)立主格結(jié)構(gòu)。作為句子一個(gè)語(yǔ)言單位,其行文簡(jiǎn)單明了,功效多樣。
1.名詞(或主格結(jié)構(gòu))+動(dòng)詞非謂語(yǔ)動(dòng)詞形式
Herearethefirsttwovolumes,thethirdonetocomeoutnextweek.
Theplanhavingbeenmade,whatisimportantistoputitintopractice.
Thedutycompleted,hehadthreemonths’leave.
2.名詞(或主格代詞)+形容詞Heenteredtheroom,hisnoseredwithcold.Shelookedathimexpectantly,hereyesfullofexcitementandcuriosity.4/17獨(dú)立結(jié)構(gòu)形式3.名詞(或主格代詞)+介詞短語(yǔ)

注意:以上獨(dú)立結(jié)構(gòu)都能夠看成是帶being分詞復(fù)合結(jié)構(gòu)省略形式。加入being就變成了分詞復(fù)合結(jié)構(gòu)。如:Herearethefirsttwovolumes,thethirdone(being)tocomeoutnextweek.Istoodathisleft,myfinger(being)onthebutton,waitingfortheorder.6/17獨(dú)立結(jié)構(gòu)形式6.介詞with或without引導(dǎo)獨(dú)立結(jié)構(gòu)
這種獨(dú)立結(jié)構(gòu)普通組成為:with/without+名/代詞+(分詞、形容詞、副詞、不定式、介詞短語(yǔ))。如:
